Week 3 of 8

AI Landscape & Product Strategy

A strategic filter, not a buzzword list.

You can now read any AI product story and call, within a minute, whether it'll win or get absorbed.

3-hour live session · 90 min theory · 90 min hands-on · plus one exercise

The 3-hour live session

Theory grounds you. Hands-on lands it. Both happen in the same Saturday session.

Theory

90 min

The most strategic 90 minutes of the cohort. We work through the frameworks that hold up in 2026 - three types of AI problems, the four moats AI cannot give you, why distribution is the new bottleneck, what AI features actually cost to run at scale. We look at who won, who got absorbed, and why. By the end you can read any AI product story on LinkedIn and tell yourself whether it's going to win or get absorbed in six months.

Hands-on

90 min

Map your own product against the framework, live. Look at three real competitors and rank them by AI-transformation threat. Walk out with a one-page strategy brief your CEO would actually read - and a much sharper instinct for which AI bets are worth your time.

Try this

Your exercise for the week

Write a one-page AI strategy brief for your product. Which of the three AI problem types? Which moats do you already have that AI can reinforce? Which startup should you be watching? Bring it.

From past cohorts

The moment that lands

The live competitor research workflow: I give Claude Code 10 competitor names plus our own product docs and ask it to scrape, compare features, and rank by AI threat. I re-run this every Week 3 to show how Week 1's tool becomes a strategic instrument by Week 3.

What I'll keep saying

  • Building is no longer the bottleneck. Distribution is.
  • Choose your battle wisely. Going head-to-head with an entrenched incumbent on their own turf, you'll lose. They already have the distribution.
